Roblox, which has been inaccessible in Turkey for a long time, has taken radical steps against sexual content on the platform. Elements that suggest sexuality are now also included in the ban. This decision raises questions about whether Roblox will become accessible in Turkey.
One of the world’s most popular online gaming platforms, Roblox, has made a significant update to its sexual content policies. The platform, which has long been blocked in Turkey, took action especially after lawsuits filed in the USA.

According to a statement made by Matt Kaufman, one of the company’s senior executives, not only explicit sexual content but also behaviors, environments, and elements that imply sexual activity are now banned on Roblox. This ban will particularly apply to users under the age of 17.

REASON FOR ROBLOX’S DECISION: LAWSUITS ⚖️
The biggest factor in Roblox making this decision has been the recent lawsuits.
- In a lawsuit filed in Louisiana, USA, the platform was accused of providing a ground for child abusers.
- This situation led Roblox to tighten its security policies and implement new measures aimed specifically at protecting children.

WHAT’S CHANGING IN ROBLOX? 🔒
With Roblox’s new content policy, the following steps will be implemented:
- Content that implies sexual content is banned. Developers will have to fill out a survey if such content exists in the servers they create.
- AI-supported systems will automatically detect visuals that suggest sexuality by scanning drawings in the servers and will shut down the server.
- Locations such as bedrooms, bathrooms, bars, and clubs will only be accessible to users over 17 and who have verified their identity.
- Developers will be required to perform mandatory identity verification when they want to create such areas.

WILL CONCERNS DECREASE? 🤔
This decision by Roblox is considered an important step in terms of child safety. However, experts are cautious about whether these regulations will completely eliminate the risks on the platform.

Whether Roblox, which is currently inaccessible in Turkey, will reopen after these updates remains a topic of curiosity.
