But, the irony is that most of us use an OS made by Microsoft but the browser by Google even though Windows gets its own Internet Explorer browser. Microsoft Edge is a lite browser that started with its own UI, and since then, it has been gathering a large user base. As for the reasons, Chrome was popularly known as a RAM eater in any PC which reduces the performance. And now, Microsoft has turned to Google finally to make its lite browser make compatible with all the themes and extensions in the Chromium-based browsers. Here, we have tried out many methods through which we can customize the Edge browser without any add-ons or extensions.

Firstly, make sure you have updated your Windows 10 PC or make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of the Microsoft Edge browser.

  • Now, open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
  • After it opens, click on the three-dot menu and select Settings in the drop-down menu.

  • Now click on New Page Tab from the Menu.

  • After the category opens up, click on customize.

  • You will now see a small drop-down menu that shows Page Layout options.
  • Select Custom and toggle Show quick links on or off if you want to see your recently visited websites on the homepage.
  • Similarly, toggle Image of the day on or off if you want to set your background with an image every day.

  • You can also select different content options.
  • Now, after getting done with those settings, if you have opted to see the image of the day as your background and you do not like the pic that has been set, click on Like this Image? on the bottom of the screen.

  • You can now either choose to keep it and click on I like it to keep getting more such photos as your background.
  • In case you do not want the picture, just click on the Not a fan, and the wallpaper will be changed instantly, and you will be able to see the location details of the image set.
  • That’s it, and you have now successfully customized your Edge Browser’s home page tab.
