Google Contacts is the most convenient and reliable contacts app for android users
without a doubt. It has only become more popular and reliable throughout the years
since Google set up its whole package experience. The most prominent reason for
Google’s success is that it uses a single unique ID – an E-mail ID that is universal to all
its services, be it YouTube or Drive or Photos. This provides a very convenient and
effortless way to keep everything organized without sweating it. Google Contacts
application automatically backs up any recently added contacts directly to your ID, and
you can access it from any device logged in with your account. This makes it one of the
remarkable contact manager. In this aritcle we will see How to Recover Deleted Google Contacts.
However, we’ll talk about something in particular. That is restoring a contact if you
happened to intentionally or unintentionally delete a specific contact.
Even this process is very easily cut out for the user as there exists an option on the
application to undo any deletions or changes made. For this, you only have to know the
approximate time rather than the change you made. Using the online website through
your smartphone or PC is way more convenient in this regard.
Although this feature isn’t exact and can’t single-out contacts one-by-one but it still is a
very handy feature to have.
How to Recover Deleted Google Contacts:
It is important to note that it can only be done with the help of a functional network
connection.
● We will start by opening any web browser, preferably Google Chrome, in the
case of Android and PC or Safari in the case of iOS, and go to the Google
contacts website.
● Find a gear icon that denotes settings. it is to the top right of your screen, it is a
small drop-down menu with only two options, namely, Undo changes and More
settings.
● As mentioned earlier, you will have to remember the timeframe of the deletion.
Clicking on the “undo changes” option will open a window that has different
timeframes as options. It has options listen from 10 minutes ago to a week ago.
We can also select a custom timeframe as there’s another option apart from the
timeframes as “custom time.”
● Select the required timeframe and click on “undo” at the bottom of the window,
and the contacts of the respective timeframe will be restored to your account,
which will reflect in all your devices with the said account.
● Don’t worry if you are an IOS user and in the Apple ecosystem. There’s no
application in the AppStore as such, but you can use the online website like any
other device. It is the same procedure on any browser.
The above process works irrespective of your platform and if you are nearer to your
desktop or PC, it is suggested that you open contacts.google.com from the browser on
your PC and follow the above steps to make it easier.
